From Ian

'While nowhere near the level of degenerate shoe fetishism of yourself, I do like a bad-ass pair of boots'

My sole story

Last year (2008) I bought this pair of beautiful Sui Generis shoes. They are handmade in England, and although they are quite high, they are comfortable to wear and walk in.
Everytime I wear them, I remember treating myself for no particular reason (they were a total indulgence!). They make me feel fantastic and look gorgeous with any of my black dresses.
These shoes are part of my wardrobes of dreams; clothes I don't wear often (or even at all) but I bought because I loved them and they looked good on me, and make me feel great. My wardrobe of dreams is my very own Mr Benn experience - I can get all dressed up and have an adventure in my head ;o)

Why Sole Stories

I'm a self-confessed shoe-a-holic. I love shoes and boots, and most of them have stories that go with them; why I bought them, where I bought them, and where I wore them. Some of my shoes have occasions associated with them that bring back lovely memories, but nearly all of my shoes have personalities or souls ;o)
And if my shoes [soles] have souls and stories then I'm sure other people's have too.

So, I'd like to share a sole story and hope that you will add yours and ask others to do the same. You can e-mail me with yours at solestories@gmx.co.uk or add a comment including your sole story

Thank you
Christina
